Hi, I’m Bronte.
I work in technology consulting, specifically in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) space. I’m currently based in the Singapore office of Huron Consulting Group. Over the past few years at Huron, I’ve had a front row seat to how quickly technology and especailly AI, is reshaping the way the world works.
Why I Started Paying Attention to AI
About two years ago, before the AI boom had really taken off, a mentor of mine told me there would come a time when trying to work without AI would feel like showing up to the office without your computer or without wifi.
At the time, that felt bold. But now, I see it happening. At least for me, it’s already the reality. The way I research, learn, analyze, prepare for meetings, structure thinking, and create deliverables has fundamentally changed. I would actually go as far as to say that I approach almost everything I do today differently than I did when I began in this career.
And the pace of AI development isn’t slowing anytime soon. If this is just the beginning, the implications for how we work and live are much bigger than we might realize.
Don’t Leave the Conversation if You Aren’t “Technical”
One of the reasons I wanted to start putting my thoughts on paper in this forum is because I want to bring everyone into the conversation. AI isn’t just going to effect the tech-y folks or the tech companies. It is going to be universal. And therefore the impacts need to be understood and acted on universally.
To put it simply, this space is more accessible than most people might think or assume. For a long time, I assumed that to have a real voice in conversations about AI and emerging technology, you needed the computer engineering background. The 25 plus years of experience. The deep technical credentials.
But what I’ve come to realize is that this field is evolving so quickly that no one has it completely figured out. Even the experts are testing, learning, and adjusting in real time.
Instead of waiting until I felt “qualified enough” to form opinions, I decided to lean in. To ask better questions. To connect dots. To build perspective as I go. This blog is part of that.
What This Space Will Be: Learning in Public
The Future State is where I’ll share perspectives on AI, CRM, consulting, and the broader shifts happening across technology and business. Working at Huron gives me exposure to real conversations about data, automation, platform strategy, and what clients are actually navigating. I see how expectations are changing, how roles are evolving, and how delivery models are adapting in real time.
Some posts will be tactical. Some will be opinion driven. Some will unpack how AI is reshaping day to day consulting work. Others will explore leadership, career building, and how to stay relevant when the rules are shifting.
I won’t pretend I can predict the future. But we can study the landscape, form points of view, and be intentional about how we adapt in this fast-paced world.
There is more information available today than ever before. It’s easy to consume and scroll endlessly without ever pausing to think. So this is me adding structure to how I learn and sharing that process openly.
If you’re trying to make sense of AI, technology, or the future of consulting, I hope this space feels useful. If you’re curious about how firms like Huron are thinking about innovation and where the market is heading, I hope this gives you a window into that perspective.
Most importantly, I hope this is a place where we can learn together what the future state might hold for us.
